St. George Utah



St. George sits in the southwest corner of Utah surrounded by red rock cliffs and beautifully carved canyons. Positioned in one of the most picturesque locations in America and only a short drive from several state and national parks, St. George is growing in popularity as a favorite vacation destination. The city has also invested millions of dollars in building scenic pathways for walking, biking, roller-blading, and running. Known as “Utah’s Dixie” for its temperate climate, St. George’s combination of sunny weather and natural beauty make it a perfect setting for your next vacation.

Once you get here you will find that there is so much to see and do in St. George that you will need more than just a day to experience it. To begin with, no trip to St. George is complete without an exciting round of golf. In sunny St. George you will find a variety of courses to choose from all surrounded by unmatched scenery. Imagine working on your swing in pleasant weather, surrounded by towering red-rock cliffs. After a few rounds of golf you may be ready to relax at one of our spas. You can enjoy a great massage, acupuncture, facial or more. In the evening you will want to drive out to the Tuacahn Center for the Arts, a 30 million dollar facility situated close to the Snow Canyon State Park, that is home to famous outdoor musical dramas and concerts.

St. George is the cultural center of southwestern Utah and is home to a wide variety of museums and art galleries. Some that are sure to be family favorites are the Rosenbruch Wildlife Museum and the Dinosaur Tracks Museum home to some of the oldest and finest dinosaur tracks in the world. Dixie State College, which acts as the cultural hub of St. George, is only a few miles from our hotel and is home to the Southwest Symphony Orchestra and the Celebrity Concert Series. You may also want to visit the St. George Musical Theater. The Musical Theater is made up of actors who share a common interest in dramatic performance and a desire to further their creative skills through fun, historic shows, which range from musicals and melodramas to reviews and plays.

The Best Western Coral Hills is located just a block away from the St. George Historic District where you can get a glimpse of St. George’s pioneer legacy as you visit historic landmarks such as the home of famous Mormon Leader Brigham Young, the Mormon Temple, the Jacob Hamblin Home and the Tabernacle. There is a delightful downtown walking tour of the Historic District which begins at the Chamber of Commerce Office (the restored Pioneer Courthouse) on St. George Blvd. and 100 East, just down the road from the Coral Hills. The historic district also boasts several different shops, restaurants, and art galleries. For families, our hotel is also located near Laser Mania which offers laser tag and miniature golf , and the Fiesta Fun Center which includes bumper boats, batting cages, go-carts, driving range, miniature golf and an arcade.

The great trails and incredible scenery surrounding St. George make it a mountain biking heaven. Aside from the extensive trail system throughout the city, there are several other great trails in the nearby canyons. Gooseberry Mesa, located near Springdale, is a very popular ride that offers unparalleled views into Zion National Park. It is by far one of the West's coolest places to ride. It even beat out Moab in Outside Magazine's year 2000 list of 10 Best Rides in the U.S. St. George has several bike shops where you can rent a bike and get information on the nearby trails.

In your spare time you can visit some of St. George’s great shopping centers. The Red cliffs Mall is a fully enclosed mall with more than 50 shops. Zion Factory Stores and The Promenade just across the street feature another 50 stores with everything from discounted name-brand clothing to sporting goods, to books, to home furnishings. In addition, St. George’s Historic District features a number of shops, boutiques, galleries, and more. There are several more craft, antique, and gift shops scattered throughout the community.

St. George Utah is a vacation destination in and of itself, but it is also a great place to stay if you are planning to explore a combination of places such as Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Lake Powell recreation area, Brian Head Ski and Summer Resort, and Snow Canyon State Park.
