Zion National Park Vacations

Our amenities will be the icing on the cake of a wonderful Zion National Park vacation

Attracted by unparalleled scenery in the form of towering stone monoliths, narrow canyons, hanging gardens, waterfalls and incredible ecologic diversity, approximately 2.5 million visitors choose to go on a Zion National Park vacation every year. Most flock to Zion Canyon, the most popular portion of the park. Accessed only via shuttle bus from April to October, the canyon contains most of the park’s most prominent natural landmarks, including Angels Landing, the Great White Throne and the Court of the Patriarchs. The shuttle ride, complete with narration about park history, geology, flora and fauna by the bus drivers, provides visitors an excellent preview of the canyon’s scenery before they debark to stroll along one of the canyon’s short hiking trails, such as Weeping Rock, Riverside Walk, and Emerald Pools, for a deeper appreciation of the park’s scenic wonders.

Many visitors do not realize that there is more to the park than Zion Canyon. The Kolob Canyons section of the park, located in its northwest corner, is much less crowded and more easily accessible, right off I-15’s exit 40. Kolob Canyons features a visitor center and a five-mile scenic drive through spectacular red rock monoliths. Many visitors choose to hike the Taylor Creek Trail, which follows a streambed past two historic cabins until it reaches a double arch alcove, which features hanging gardens and multicolored, water-streaked sandstone. Kolob Canyons is also home to the trailhead to Kolob Arch, one of the longest spanning arches on earth. Visiting this area of the park on your Zion National Park vacation will be a nice respite from the crowding common in Zion Canyon.
